60 hp and only weighs 350lbs. That comes out to a 0.171 power to weight ratio. Pretty impressive.

They are supposed to be pretty sweet! My friend owns a sled magazine company and they had them last year they ripped!

They do rip . I had the chance to try one out as a proto type last year for a company i work for and DAMN talk about fun . Its the exact same as in ridding a dirt bike just a lil heavier and WAY more fun . Falling in power is lot better than on hard pack .

11-02-2002, 10:23 PM
Looks hard to control and ride, dont look like sumthing any good to buy.. tipsy too and bet you fall alot epcsecially when there are ice and plain snow spots all over open and off then ur screwed.

That thing you are looking at is called a Snow Hawk and are produced by a company named A. D. Boivin. The company also makes many suspension performance upgrades and suspensions upgrades as a whole that are sweet if you can afford them, they make them for Ski-Doo, Arctic-Cat and many more products. They also make what they call a ETS(energy transfer system for Foreman E and ES's, Check out there site and the Snow Hawk it's pretty sweet I've read they ride like a dirt bike. I'm sure they're pretty close or I don't think they would be making them.http://www.adboivin.com/frames.htm

they run like 8 carbide runners on the front ski , i heard thier pretty stable but u ride em like a dirtbike, they had em at sno x last year i saw em ridin em they didnt fall they were jumpin and stuff too

They had a movie playing and it showed people on them doing heelclickers and cordovas off of 60 -75 foot jumps on them. They were also doing huge hill climbs and were racing on the snow cross track. But it really needs nerfs bars or something. I wouldn't want to slip off of the peg.

well they're 8700 US MSRP so probably like 9k out the door, or so. but yeah those things look like they would be really fun. i wonder actually how hard they are to ride, anyone have some first hand experince? i'm sure they jump well 15 inches of travel in the back and 12 up front. i've never rode snow sleds before so i'm sure this would be pretty crazy. 503 rotax engine with 2 34mm mikunis i'm sure they rip hehe. kinda crazy how its fan cooled, are most sleds air/fan cooled?

MILF_HUNTER

depends most sleds are liquid. only cheaper models and some 440's are fan.
