I run Gibson LT with Axis and they work well. I have not had any trouble out of them.

I've read through a lot of you guys psots about best long travel front ends. One front end that i never see mentioned but seems very unique is the Laeger Pro-Trax. How do you guys rate it?

The laeger front end is nice but come with a high price tag. You don't see mant XC guys running it.

I have road Lonestar +2+1 with Elka elites and I was very very impressed with the performance. If price wasn't any issue, I would go Laeger/Elka.

Way too many exposed bearings for XC racing. Built for MX/SC

2 people that had floats both said they are great for landings and bumps but have quite a bit of body roll on turns

That's what I was going to say. Fox Floats or Float Evols are not really intended for desert/XC/GNCC riding. They are built with weight in mind and setup more for MX.

If you are price conscious, I would also look into Houser a-arms and possibly TCS shocks. Excellent quality and performance from both for less money than a lot of the other big name companies. If money was not an object, I would go with Laeger a-arms and either Motowoz or PEP shocks.

SMC fab a-arms best bang for the buck. You can get longtravel mgc arms for around $600 and that with a lifetime warrenty.

There are a few dez racers using the Floats with good results but I am not sure of the maintenance requirements on them.

Ed's new stuff for the 450R is sweet........from the front end to the soon to be released linkage.

He's also accepting resumes until Dec 10.
