Heys Guys im new to this forum. I just bought an 07 450r about a week ago, and im wondering about exhaust to get, im wanting either a rossier or a dasa, which to yall think is better hp wise and sound wise, i want it to be loud, but sounds good, i heard a curtis sparks, and i didnt like how it sounded, s so if yall have any other suggestions please let me know.

Another thing i wondering would it be better to jus get a slip on and a HRC kit, since it comes with header pipe, or full exhaust and get a stage 2 hotcam with jets?

A HRC kit is the way to go. The kit opens up the exhaust and actually (based on what I've seen), is
better than a aftermarket exhaust. How? I keep reading these dyno charts with there dasa pipes and such making 47-48hp. Honda's HRC kit puts out 50.7hp And the cam is IMO one of the best out there for that bike, and includes spot-on jetting. Best bang for the buck if you ask me.:)

Thanks for the info, one more question, if getting a HRC kit what would be the best slip on pipe to get?

I wouldn't say it includes spot on jetting, but it does come with recommended jetting

I have a rossier and I love it. Sounds amazing when you are really moving. I can hear it in a group of 4 or 5 people now. I was going to get the hrc kit and put the Rossier on as well but now I am just going to get an hot cams stage 2 when they come out the with 08's its more of a top end cam while the hrc cam for the 06/07 is more of a bottom end. Just adding a Rossier, uni filter and outerwears airbox cover made the difference in getting toasted by a piped yfz and passing him.....with 2 people on my quad and 1 on his.

I'm pretty sure it only adds 13% horsepower to the original 32-33 stock. Adding roughly 4 hp....

The head pipe in the HRC kit, is it as good as other aftermarket head pipes, b/c i really wanting a full rossier exhaust, and get the hrc kit , and not use the head pipe. Or would i be better off with it and jus gettin a good slip on? Please Help!! Wanting to get exhaust like now lol.

If it was me I would get the rossier exhaust. It sounds amazing and is a good quality exhaust. I am sure a slip on and the hrc head pipe would be good but I love my rossier.

the hrc head pipe is very good and the aftermarket companies had some trouble trying to outproform it. a hrc head pipe and good slip on is equivlent (sp) to a full system exhaust. so if you want to save 250 bucks, just buy the slip on, hmf makes a good slip on, and then you have 250 bucks towards something new, i think you can get your carb bored to 43mm for 250. and that adds like 3-4 hp.
