Just got me some flexx bars. They came w/ the red elastomers already installed. What does everyone else use? Im gonna be running in the Mid South Harescrambles if that tells you anything aboutt the type of riding im gonna do.

i use the yellow, and might even try the blue ones. i couldnt even feel the bars moving with the red ones, but i'm also only about 140 pounds

I run the yellows. And yes, very easy to change the elastomers. Just take the nut on the outside off, which allows the bars to swing away from the elastomer...5 min max.

What class are you running at the Midsouth?

Another vote for the yellows. ;) I actually have a set of blues coming my way that I'm going to try out next weekend. I've used the yellow ones in the past though and was very pleased. The red ones suck. They hardly give at all.

Yes, they help.

Flexx bars are absolutely amazing. I've ran Tag bars before, and was able to do an exact comparison, on a particular run...with Tag bars, then Flexx bars. It is just UNBELIEVABLE, the difference they make. I used to have problems with my wrists hurting, from the harder impacts, If I was leaning forward. I used to have problems with my fingers, and joints, hurting just from the vibration alone. I also had arm pump problems. Once I switched to the Flexx bars, I no longer have any of those problems.(Arm pump only becomes a problem on longer rides, in tight trees, where I'm just working my arms a lot)

As for the original question....I run yellows also. The red ones are rock hard, and offer very little flex. Yellow works for me.

Im hoping to see a great difference in my ride quality. I have triple rate elka's and flex bars since that last time I rode it.
