We have and it ran pretty good .Id like to see how much better it would run if we had a kid that only weighed in the 70-80s he is pushing 130 so we are getting the 250 raptor for him in a few months..It has 6paddle gliders 26mm carb and k&n filter with the fivedisc clutch .I also put a light on it for night riding ..

were you able to go into the dunes or just mainly on the flats?

It ran real well in the flats and suprised me in the hills ..The kid that rode it most was a freinds kid who,s about the same size if not bigger ..He was riding the 250ex so coulnt say how well ..This quad would do its best with a lighter rider..We are going back and the kid that went with us last time likes it so we will take it for him .My girlfriends daughter is pretty light for a 10yr old we will see then..

ya my girlfriend wants to buy one so she can learn to ride a quad. she is about 130lbs and she was worried that she would keep on getting stuck.

On hard pack she would be fine but 130lbs in sand is to much i believe ..Ive found that the 250 ex is a good learner quad.We have paddles and a pipe and it goes pretty much everywhere ..now not every hill straight up but it gets around.

ya i figured she would have some problems. she is just trying to keep it cheap and i figure the typhoon was the best bang for the buck but not if she wont be able to go anywhere at the dunes. guess she'll just have to save up some more money.

My son weighs 73lbs and when we take our 125 to pismo it works great on hard pack, but the soft stuff was a bare. If he did'nt keep the momentum he would get stuck. The paddles helped but it was a little to low for the sand.
