replacing case need help

i cracked my side case from my chain poppin off, and i took my motor to the shop and they said that i need to get both cases for them to match, they said if i got 1 case that i need it would match the one thats on my motor is that true ???

You should only have to get whatever case is messed up, rather it be the sidecase or crankcase. Unless of course both are messed up.

i just put a new crank in mine 06 you will two tools one is a fly wheel puller and a spanner socket for the balance shaft nut its not that hard just takes some time good luck

They are trying to rob you!!!!! Get the one side and do it yourself. Tell them to quit trying to take money off you. That would be like me saying, hey your exhaust manifold is cracked so you need a new intake manifold and carbs too.
