Hi all. I am new to this forum, and this is my first one as a matter of fact. I have some questions about Curtis Sparks motors. Are they all strokers? I think that they are, because everybody says that a Sparks 440 will beat a Trinity 465. Is that true too? And has anybody ever had problems with an X-6 being too loud? Thank you for any help:D .

Thanks for the welcome! I think that they must be. His 416's are whooping on 440's. That's not just luck.

Actually none of them are Strokers. The 416, 440, and 465 are all Big Bore Sleeves. Not Strokers. Check out Sparks Racing (http://www.sparksracing.com)

Really? Wow! that guy knows his stuff then, if his 465 is beating a 703 bomb. That's impressive. Do you know if a Sparks 440 will beat a Trinity 465 stroker?

I have no idea. Oldnumber7 on here has a Trinity 465. He said they dynoed it at 49 HP. Not sure what the Sparks 440 is pushing. He knows his stuff that`s for sure. Very expensive though, plus a long list. If you are going for Motor Work and want it done fast your best bet is Trinity or Duncan. If not I would go with Sparks, or TC.

I'm sure that the Sparks 440's will out run a trinity 465, if all the trinity makes is 49hp. And I know Old7 isnt a sloucher on the motor mods...lol If it only makes 49hp, then my 440 should be faster than the trinity 465?

The only stroker that Sparks has EVER built was the 505. And I dont think they offer that kit anymore?
