I think the xr600 or 650 will fit without too much modding, Im not 100% sure on the exact engine though. Theres a thread floating around here with pics of it. It looks almost like a 400 motor when its installed.:D

YZ400-450F motor. ss440ex makes motor mount kits for the 400ex frame. Building a Hybrid isn't cheap tho.

probably slow's engine lol. theres a lot more to it than just throwing another engine in there.. mounting the radiator and fan.. coolant bottles, intake, exhaust mounting.. it'll be a project and a half if you're serious about it.

the crf motor is to tall along with ktm motors. your best bet is a yz 400 426 or 450f motor

X2, building a hybrid isn't cheap. Nothing for the motor will just bolt on. Everything has to be custom made or modified. I am about 10K deep in parts and still am now done yet.

look at jrspawns machines there expensive arse hybrids. yes they are the 250r geometry but aftermarket ex frames arnt that cheap either. the stock ex uper frame rails are two low for the crf and ktm motor heights. with some frame rail modifications the motors will fit. the yz motors will all fit in the stock ex frame but you have to gusset in place. as far as the conversion you have the price of the motor, radiator, radiator lines, oil tank, oil tank lines, frame mods, kicker extender. other modds u will find out about as you do it. do alot of research befor you jump into it. plus with a stock ex frame you have to gusset it like no other. plus you need aftermarket suspension to handle the power. the motor has to be at the right angle in the frame as well.
