View Full Version : Steering Stabilizer Installation

Can somebody please explain how to install a PEP steering stabilizer on a Honda 450r, or if anyone has any pics of the installation that would be great.

the circular clamp goes on the steering stem, the rectangular one goes to the forward left frame upright. make sure that there is no binding and that you have full movement when turning the handle bars completely in both directions...

this is a large pic of the whole bike, so it is not a great pic of how it goes. but i think it is visible enough that you may get the idea

Thats not a PEP style dampner, the PEP goes on the stem and the frame rail on the right side toward the back of the bike.

thought they were all the same... they use the same cartridge so it really shouldn't be that different

the pep stabilizers are more like a shock, just one rod going into a cylinder, nothing sticking out of the other end

that's how mine is at least and every other newer rebuildable one i've seen

i see that now...i am not sure i would like that kind...i know i don't like the price if it...
