ADD a 250x starter to a 300...???

hey can u add a 250x starter to a 300ex and still keep elctric start? all the cutouts are still in the case and everything on the 300 all you would have to do is drill the side case someone please help me and say why u can or cannot do it

possible, just not cost effective.... you need new plastic, then entire 250x side case, the kickstarter assembly, and the racheting mechanism.... it's a whole lot cheaper just to keep your battery charged

but to answer your question it can be done pretty simply... it all bolts up

They changed the oil pump when they changed the 250x to the 300ex. I realy didn't think the 250x side case would mount on the 300ex. I do know that you can get all the hardwear you described and have the 300ex side case machined and it will work. The 300ex plastic has the place for the kick starter, so replaceing the plastic is not nessessary.
