what would win in a drag race...KFX or my EX. both are 05's and have slip-ons and jets.

probably KFX because of the liquid cooled motor

On dirt: Better driver
On pavement: Better machine + a good driver

depends how long of a drag race. The 400 can hold its own but it doesn't have as much top end as the z400. I raced a z400 and won by a lot. But I made sure it was a short drag race.

having raced one, switched quads then raced again, the KFX was faster out of the hole with both having stock sprockets and tires.

the KFX was brand new, so i didnt want to push top end.. id guess they would be about even in top speed.

I own one of each and I can assure you that the KFX 400 is faster than the 400EX. They are both good machines but the KFX with the liquid cooled engine, has quite a bit more jam. In fact, I have a hard time holding the throttle wide open off the line through the lower gears without feeling a little out of control. I know there is a lot of brand loyalty but I must also say that the KFX has a much smoother shifting tranny and starts far easier. Since I have both machines and they are fairly new, I am not bashing the 400EX but just calling it as I see it. :-))
