start button issue

my start button has got very difficult to push and now i must push all the way till the button is barley sticking out.. why?

There is a screw inside that holds it in place and a little notch. Maybe one or both have failed. I lost my screw and have just run with the notch and not have had a problem. Maybe someone has been inside your switches messing around. Alot of sand gets inside my also. Maybe you can take apart and clean and see if everything is where it is supposed to be.
