i was wonderingwith a 1988 250r frame if i buy esr motor mounts for a 450r and well them to the frame with taking measurements of a 450r engine ona 450r frame how dou think it will workout?and post pics of some of ur engine mounts!!!:)

You would be best off getting the engine in the frame that you are going to use.
Aligning the sprockets and chain.
Anchoring the rear of the engine.
Positioning the angle of the engine with the front mounts,then welding up the rest.
Doing it with out an actual engine or fixture would only leave room for a lot of error.

I would have to go with ss440ex. Makin the mounts with out the motor is not a good idea. Its just way to easy to put a tab .0625 off and the bolt not going threw. Just way to much room for error. Do a search for this combo and you might be able to find some one who did this and can ask them for some ideas.
