Anyone had any problems with the 6 pack rack and the pro peg nerf bars not wanting to fit right ? I installed the rack last night and had to grind off a big chunk to get it to fit . Also had to sand down the inside of the rails as well as the metal is just too wide and too thick . It also strains the brake light wiring so I will need to fix that as well but if they pushed the light mount back a half inch it would have been fine .
The nerf bars were a mother you know what to install and I had pull them into place with straps . The part that attaches to the A arm bolt had to be pulled into place and simply making the piece that attaches to the A-arms a quarter inch longer would have made them easy to fit . The bolt was not drilled for a pin and is a inch too long so I hope the locking nut does the job . The nets are just a little too short so I am going to have to sew up a new set as there is just not enough material to work with . The sewing quality is crap and the z box pattern is piss poor and will fail prematurely as it is to far into the center and it also looks like monkeys could sew better than the person that sewed my nets . Also there is a little flat piece of metal with two holes that goes from the top of the heel guard to the upper portion of the frame , one piece needs to be a little longer and I had to re drill both holes in one to get it to fit .
I don't know who designs the stuff there but buying two different parts and having to fix both just sucks . The instructions were poorly printed and the photos were lousy . There are no instructions for how to install the nets but I have done it enough to know . The nets also are a little too close to the shifter and the brake and both could get caught under the net but I will fix that when I design a new set of nets for mine and will eliminate the strip closest to the shifter and brake .
I will say that the bars and rack do look nice but man it sucks trying to fit parts that are off .
