gearing for '07 450ER

Guys,
what have you tried as far as gearing for XC and woods riding for the '07 450ER. Top speed is great but seems a little bit too tall of gear when riding in the woods. What worked and what has not for you??

When I was doing XC I put a 12 tooth front sprocket on and it made it SO much easier to ride in the woods. Stock is 13 and is just a little too easy to kill when you are in tight places going slow. I would put a 12 on its cheap and will make a big difference.
