2003 400EX

ok I'm looking for a graphics kit that comes with a seat cover.

I want the design to go into the seat. this is my favorite so far...

http://www.ctracing.com/graphics.htm

this is my second choice. but the pics not good enough for me to decide

I also like this but like the CT better. note the design does not go into the seat.

you guys know of any others?

ok now the real question, you guys know where i can find them cheaper? :)

DMP Covers Graphics kit. They sell on Ebay for around $60.00 and includes the matching seat cover. There are 1999-2004 and 2005-2007 versions of the same kit.

xgx racing has alot of sweet designs with seatcovers, really unique and you can have custom ones made. My teachers son owns the company and designs the graphics. I think it's xgxracing.com or xgxgraphics.com but it's one of them. I putting one on my 400ex this winter. I think there the best graphics out.

I won mine off Ebay for $67.00 and waited 7 weeks to get it. I tried repeatedly to e-mail the seller with out any replies. I gave the guy a negative feedback. I think his name was ATVJOHN or something close to that. He works out of Miami and I believe he has more than one name. If your seller is out of Miami you should expect at least a 6 to 8 week wait.
The kit is great. I had the seat cover professionally installed. It's a pain in the @$$ to install wrinkle free with the vynil sides.

I ordered it straight from the company. none of the ebay places were buy it now, and I didn't want to wait very long.

hopefully it'll be here by Tuesday. I also ordered some shock covers, hopefully it'll look good.

How does the seat cover go on? do i have to stretch it and staple it or is it just a stretch over?

The old seat cover has to come off first which is held on by staples. The new cover must be stretched, heat gunned, and stapled. I tried doing it myself before getting frustrated and having it professionally installed for $30.00. Here's a picture from when it was first installed in June of last year.

its weird to look at that bike back when it was nearly stock compared to now.

ok, so the seat cover is hard to install, but are the graphics, too? is it better to get the seat cover put on professionally, and do the graphics yourself, or does it get wrinkles and stuff? also i checked the K&K website, and their graphics kits are 130. where can i get them cheaper?

The graphics go on fairly easily. I used a spray bottle of water and sprayed the surface and graphics being applied. It allows you some flexibility and freedowm of movement to sure it the alignment is correct and makes rubbing out the bubbles much easier.

Ill put the graphics on myself, i tint windows for everyone so that part is easy for me.

The seat cover i guess ill have to look for someone to do it in town.

they glue it down do it doesnt slide all over?

if stretched and stapled correctly there is little play. They aren't glued...
