Cause if you are under like 16 you should really save for a NICER vehicle when you get your license. That is at least what I would do.;)

i say save it, you will very much appreciate that extra money one day when you want to put a down payment on something. Try to not be like a typical 13yr old and let the money burn a hole in your pocket

Ya im just saying really think about buying a nice vehicle. I have quite a bit of money saved after working a landscaping job for the past year and a half. Insurance is gonna cost me at least 2000 a year and I am paying for everything. License insurance vehicle etc... So IDK about your situation but just give it a thought. ;)

Ya but do you want an ugly junk or a nice truck that will last maybe even after school. Remember your not even in high school yet, trust me money goes fast when you got stuff to buy for yourself. Even the smallest stuff costs a lot after a while. Just save it you will thank me and mineralgrey later. K

trust me man, even though you have money saved up you will look back at this and say, I really wish I had that money back. If you spend it now, something 100x better will come later down the road, but hey its your money, do what you want, but dont say we didnt warn you.

if you're arguing everybody's responses then why bother posting this as a poll? you're not liking the answers you're getting, however you asked for opinions in the first place. im with them.. save it.

Save it, and don't listen to the people telling you to save for a nice car, get a piece of crap for your first car so you can beat the crap out of it and that way it will be out of your system when your older.

also notice that the only ones that are disagreeing are the ones born in 1990 or later... sometimes it pays to listen to people that have been through it. if i would have saved my money, college would be much much easier.

college is the exact reason why i dont have an 03/04 SVT cobra right now :( it sucks but school is more important and it already taking its toll on my money but no way I could have gotten this far without what I have saved up and yes, my parents are helping me out with college which is definitely a lot of help.

very easy to state without knowing his parents financial situation. my parents are breaking their necks for me because i bought ridiculous and totally unpractical things when i was 13. without their help, id probably be sitting at home working at a mcdonalds and riding a bike to get there. the only thing i could see as a feasible reason to blow your money at that age is because its so much harder to ride once you start to step foot into the "real world" and we're all here because we have one thing in common.. we love to ride. right? the real question now is if you want to blow it like a "kid" or if you want to make it much easier for yourself down the road.

mineralgrey01gt-- i'll be going after an 03/04 cobra when i have the means to do it too... ive been in love with them since they came out. :p

I don't know if you will be able to buy a quad for 1500...??

If you really want something, go ahead and buy it. It's your money. If you feel like it is worth blowing your money on, do it. 1500 is really not that much money. You are 13 and I'm sure you don't have to pay for anything around the house...

You could work a few months and make 1500 back easily, so if you really wished you didn't spend it take it as a learning experience. When I was younger I always loved to save my money over birthdays, Christmas, and working/allowance until I got a good chunk of change to buy something big. I never liked to blow my money on a bunch of small things, but larger things that I knew I could always use.

Have fun with it.... you're 13.....
