just wanting to know ALL the differences between the 05 vs 06 valves??? or valvetrain anything the same or everything different??

The only differences I know is the 06+ have TI intake valves. The 04-05 have steel on both intake and exhaust.

The same cams can be used in 04 to 07 bikes. The 08's have a different decompresser setup from what I hear and can't use the same cams. Not sure if thats correct tho.

Its true my 07 hc2 cam wont fit my 08. The decompressor is different. At first I thought it was just because I had an electric start but the whole set up is different from what I saw. I looked at a diagram of an 05 and the decompressor isnt even on the same side its on the cam sprocket now. There is a shaft that runs down through the cam shaft. I can get pics tomorrow if anyone wants to see.

It sounds to me like they changed the decomp on the 08s to match the bikes know they updated the bikes in 07 to a new decomp with the shaft and the weights on the sprocket.

The 04-05 also have larger stems on the exhaust valves 5.5 stem
The 06-07 has a 5.0 stem
