My son has a 2004 Banshee, and its leaking oil from the drive sproket area.. Is there a seal here? Could it be replaced from the outside, or does the cases have to be split to repair? There is no hole in the case from the chain. It is comming from the drive shaft that the sprokcet goes on. Thanks

Yes there is a seal around the sprocket shaft. I believe it can be replaced without splitting but am not 100% sure...sorry.

Not sure if you have to split it, you probably will. Just get yourself a Clymer manual and it will be a breeze. Might as well change all the seals in there while you are in there and inspect the tranny.
