blaster question

i just picked up a 02 blaster for my brother. it was recently rebuilt but its not hitting powerband. the guy told me he thinks the reeds need to be replaced. how hard is that to do and how expensive. also will it hurt riding the quad with no powerband?

just change the reeds its easy.

you must pull the boot off the carb then pull the carb off. there should be 3 or 4 bolts that hold the inside boot(boot closest to the motor on the carb) on the reeds. undoo the bolts pull the boot and reeds out. thats all there is too it. check the reeds for any chips along the edge as well as any space between the reed and the housing that they are on(and i mean any space just allittle will make the bike run bad since its a 2 stroke)
