432 cm on cyl

i recently bought a tore down 03 400ex from my dads friend from work. its a rolling chassis and a box of motor parts. all it has towards motor is just top end with no gear box or bottom end. But what i was wondering was that on the cylinder head, where it typically says 397 cm (im thinking) this one says 432 cm, and it looks like its been grinded down and cut into it.... do you think that this motor is a 440 or bored out or something because of this? How could i tell if it was. thanks...

you could measure the bore hole across the top of the cylinder jug. A stock bore is 85mm, 416 is 87mm, 426 is 88mm and a 440 is 89mm across. That should tell you if it is a 440 kit or not.
