I was wondering if anyone knew of an oversized gas tank for the 400ex that didn't require cutting the plastics. I'm unsure what brand my buddy got for his but I know he had to trim the plastics. I have blue fullbore race plastics and would like an oversized tank but I really don't want to have to cut my plastics. Thanks for any help, Ken

I like my nuts so I'll avoid the ones you are talking about. It seems that quite a few people who has the oversized gas tank have to cut their plastics and I really like these so I would like to avoid cutting it if at all possible.

I'm one of those people that have these "ball buster tanks" that u people supposly call it. I got an IMS 4.3 gallon tank with my stock plastic and there is no trimming or cutting required, you get rid of the stock gas tank cover however. I've jumped and rolled my quad with this tank and so far my nuts are in good condition. There awesome on trails or long races.

For those who laugh at me o well i got the last laugh cuz i'll be passing you while you have to fill up ur tank.

I have a Clarke 5.5 gal tank. And I love it. However, it will not work with Mareir platics. It will work stock platics. It is also a non balll buster.

do your oversized tanks impede handlebar movement at all? I saw a high one and it looked a bit bulky up top and thought it might interfere with steep turning angles?

I have a +1 stem and there is no contact with the bars, you might be able to squeek by with a stock stem but it would be darn close.

I am running a +1 steering stem already so I'm good there. I guess I'll just remove my blue fullbore's and put on my white maier so if I do have to hack the plastics it won't be my fullbore's.
