i have a 250 tecate and it doesent want to take any gas it will fire right up and run in one or two kicks every time i will take gas but just wont rev i was just wondering if the reeds a have to be perfectly flat for it to run it did run great at first then is slowly got to where it wouldnt take any gas is this my problem.

Are you getting good fuel flow from the tank?Have you cleaned the carb? It sounds as if you may be losing compression also when was the last topend rebuild? It may not be sucking in the required air to get the revs up.

fuel from tank is good it has a brand new carb and i just had the top end rebuilt it was runing fine then after a few short rides it just stoped reving

you may have a stator going, they're notorious for it.
