By far the coolest engine I've ever really seen. How would you like to have that last one sitting on your dresser in your room?

When I was in elementary school I use to always build small houses, boats, cars, quads and even 3 1/2 foot humans but never a working engine. :p
Legos rock! Even tho I'm 16 I still love to play with them, I may even play with them for the rest of my life. :macho

I want to find my old ones!

I had a lego technic front end loader with all the pneumatic cylinders and stuff. REALLY FUN! It also had a v6 motor and i want to find it. I know i have it in the attic somewhere.

Looks like Zack the LEGO maniac grew up and got himself an engineering degree. :p

For you younger folks, here's a LEGO commercial from the late 80's....

looks likes some people have way to much time on their hands, but that would be awesome to build.

Back in the early 80's Lego came out with their first "Technic" series with their most complex being a car that was about 16 inches long and 10 inches wide. It had big tires and could be made into a car or dragster.

That kit had rack and pinion steering, rear a-arm suspension, a working differential and a motor with working pistons, and a 3 or 4 speed gearbox. When you would push the car it would turn the pistons and depending on the gear selection, would turn them faster or slower....real cool kit for sure.

I actually built a quad back in the day...just like the 250r and quadracer, front a-arms and steering and a linkage swingarm in the rear...made a single piston engine with bevel gears to turn the power 90° like in a real quad and had a little chain driving the rear wheels.

Wish I had the foresight to take pictures back then....:(
