Alright heres the deal, I have an 86 R pretty much built to the tilt of how I want it, now my question is how hard is it too be able to fit a yzf motor into it. Also I have my chance to get my hands on a yzf400 yes i know its 400, 1999, but I can get it for extremely cheap and then build it up to a 450 etc. So I ask how hard fitting the motor in the R and fabbing up mounts is and also does the 400 have the same mounts as 426,450 in case I decide on different motors at some point in time. Thanks

the YZ400F and YZ426F are only about 2 HP different. So the 400 wont be much different. I am running a 400 and love it.

What kind of frame are you running?

Stock? or Aftermarket?

Your best bet would be to buy the one on ebay that is already made for that motor.

If yours is stock frame it would be way better to use an aftermarket frame because of the extra weight

Yeah i'm running stock frame. I have tried to contact him and he will not ship so that puts me in a bad position.
