im running k&n filter with filtercharger and no air box lid at around 500 feet above sea level

and how hard would it be to change the main jet without pulling the carb off the bike?

any suggestions would be helpful

I found tuning the carb is a lot easier when you get rid of the snorkel also. It gives you room to get your hands in there. If this is out of the way just rotate he carb to the side. You don't have to but it once this lid is off, the snorkel is useless any way

the jetting depends on what other modding your doing .
if it just a power cap on the stock muffler ,no air box lid ,then a 142.5 is a very good place to start. you may have to adjust the fuel screw but i would try just the jet first.
the carb is very easy to get on and off ,getting the 4 screw out of the carb can be a pain in the butt as they are soft and easy to bugger up. if i were you i would replace them with Allen head screws.

ive have the sparky pulled outta the stock pipe with k&n filter without the lid at around 500 feet above sea level and i bought a 140 and a 135 main jet to try out since it has a 130 in it stock

the 140 is on the lite side ,a 142.5 would be better it will put you at about 30hp with your current setup

Jet kits come with complete instructions and everything you need for current or future tuning. just a thought.

i ran the 142.5 and so far seems good but it feels like i lost the snappy torque on the very bottom but i can deff feel the increase on the midrange
any suggestions why i lost power on the bottom would help

turn the fuel screw out ,you may have to experiment to find the right setting for it . the max out is 3 1/2 turens out from bottemed out ,and thats from just tuching th bottem. 2- 2/12 turns out should do it ,it could take more but not likely.
