I just installed the HMF Sport series slip on onto my 2007 400ex. I have no other modifications done to the bike yet. I know i have to rejet, and I have all the stuff to do it, just havent put them in yet. Im going to before i ride it this weekend. However, I started the bike to hear the pipe and within LITERALLY 5 seconds of it running the headpipe going into the motor started smoking like crazy and got instantly like nuclear hot. I know its lean now, but can the motor over heat in such a small amlunt of time?!? i dont think I bent the headpipe or loosened it trying to put the muffler on, it actually went on pretty easily, so I dont think thats the problem. Any ideas??
