I heard that some kind of mx racing was possibly going to be going on down there. I thought kind of like millers tavern racing. You have lost me on the logs. No interest at all in that. Mx bikes and logs do not mix. With the large group of MX riders in the area there may be a great turn out with the right kind of track. I also work for a local rental company which I may be able to help with some sponsership. I'll give you a pm to talk some more.

Dont worry about the logs, at the fair race there was about 75% MX quads. the logs are small and basically something to slow you down and make you think a little, it will be nothing like the wpsa logs. I am helping them build the track and I will run my mx tires to make sure the course is runable. The top 2 finishers at the fair race were complete mx quads.

Pappy, thats quite a drive for you. There were 39 racers at the fair event we are hoping to have that many or more for these events.

I hope to get some pictures of the track Wednesday.

LOL...we consider far a relative term. We have a national on saturday and if all goes well we may just shoot straight from ohio down there

Pappy if you do decide to come, give me a holler. I live in fredericksburg too, and it would be cool to hang out with you on my own turf..lmao.

Adam, you had better be there, There is a utility class you and your dad can race. I made sure there was going to be a lites class for people like you on the 300's and blasters.

I'll be at 2 of the 3 for sure, I still have a bent tie-rod, that's the only thing holding me back from this one.

dopeyferree
10-09-2007, 06:51 PM
Bend it back straight, or just adjust the ends, come on FMS sells them, I bet they are less than $10. :macho

XCAdam89
10-09-2007, 06:54 PM
I'll go run and get a new one, I have to work at 5 though, think I can make it???

Is this race going to be harder than the VXCS one I did?? Or what kind of obstacles are there going to be besides the logs?

dopeyferree
10-09-2007, 06:55 PM
We should be done by 3 or so. I dont think this will take a long time.

XCAdam89
10-09-2007, 06:56 PM
Alright, how long is the course and all that?? Easier than a VXCS?

dopeyferree
10-09-2007, 07:00 PM
Course is only going to take a couple minutes at most to do a lap, will be some mx type course, some flat track, and some xc obstacles. Very easy and should be pretty fast.

bring your buddies Jordan,

I just checked out the track, its mostly complete. The rock section will be no problem with 18" tires, you probley wont even have to slow down that much. The logs, You will need to slow down so you dont get thrown over the bars but they should be easily negotiated.

JRP

i think my friend austin and matt might come with me, and brooke might want to too. how much will it cost to get in? thanks!

Very Poor turnout today, Actiontown yesterday and racing at budds today killed the turnout but there were some really fast guys that did show up. I will get some pictures posted soon. We only had 15 quads show up. Alot of talkers today who were there without thier quads so hopefully the next round will have a good turnout. If we want this to be a successful mini series we need people.

His name was Butler, I do remember that. I hope that Ian stays on his girlfriends quad. Much more and I wont have a chance and keeping up with him. I had alot of fun today, would have been alot better if we could get some rain. Once you got behind someone you almost had to let off because it went to ZERO visability really quick.

Looks like it was fun, it was good weather today too even. I'll be at the next two for sure, I was working at DQ and helping my dad put new windows in our house all weekend, so I wasn't able to come to this one.

But count one more in for the next two, and tell people to bring freakin' blasters and 300's. Racing alone sucks!

Ha! thats like the pot calling the kettle black. You need to start drinking some Miracle grow to get that shoulder to grow some roots. Butler will love to show you how outta control he really is.

FYI look at the Budds creek nats results for open a in 06. He won his qualifier against some real fast guys.

What was the mini quad turnout like?

D-7#61-450r
10-14-2007, 08:15 PM
dopeyferree, hopefully next race will be a bigger turnout. I have yet to talk to Ian or Butler about the track but another friend had, and said the promoters were very open to suggestions. Good to hear and hopefully the 28 will be a better turn out. It just seems like everyone I know is born from sept. to dec.

count one more in for the next two. If my wrist heels up.

dopeyferree
10-15-2007, 10:53 AM
The mini quad turn out was low, only 3. The minis ran their own little course and only did it one at a time against the clock. For anyone that was there, if you have any suggestions about changes to the track pm me. I will be working with the promoter on getting him the advice and what changes to make the next course better.

The rock section will most likely be coming out of it.

Yeah , I am not going to be at the NOV 11 race either, I am headed to North Carolina for an XC race.
