I have a ltz 400 and im wanting to adjust the rear shock so its not so stiff. Im wondering what tool to use to turn that sprocket looking thing on the shock. thanks

You should use a spanner wrench, but if you don't have one you can lift the rear of the atv off the ground and use a good punch and hammer move the collars

wouldnt that just adjust the ride heught on the rear do they have compression adjustments on the rear shock. i thought that would be the way to adjust stiffness. correct me if im wrong
yeah i believe the 2 rings at the top of the spring are just preload and ride height. For compression and rebound or w/e there are 2 flat head screw driver lookin things. Idk if you can use a flat head but i need to adjust mine
