525 backfiring

i just got a brand new 07 525 outlaw and the first time i took it out it would backfire every time i would let off of the throttle is this just becuase it is a new bike or is something wrong?

It is lean go larger on both main and pilot jets. All so get a JD jet kit it will add HP

I had the same issue with my 07 525 brand new. I took it back to the dealer and they changed the jets and adjusted the exaust valves. That did not take care of the problem, needless to say i had to take it back to them and they checked the setting on the tps switch on the carb and found that it was out of adjustment. they changed the tps switch and i have no problems now. the quad runs like it should. The dealer you bought it from should be able to check the tps and adjust it. I would first go to that before you start changing jets, but i do recommend changing the main jet as the stock is way to lean.
