Does anyone know the difference between the 1999-2004 front A-arms and the 2005 and on A-arms? Service Honda indicates they are different part numbers and different pricing!!!

So, has anyone put the 1999-2004 A-arms on a 2005 or newer 400EX? If so let me know the differences and how they worked out.

I'll bet the only difference is silly, like a different brake line hose mount!

Thanks

This is only something i've heard and have nothing to back it up so take it as it is:p...

Various newer parts for the 400ex may be manufactured at a different location than previous years. They may be exactly the same but being from a different location may be the reason for the different part numbers.

I think this may be the case. Recently I bought a clutch basket for my '05. Of course it has a different part number, but upon further investigation with an "old" one for the '99-'04, there were no dimensional differences.

Thanks JOEX, I'll certainly post here if I learn they are compatible.

No way Honda put money into redesigning the front end on the 400ex, and if they did, Im sure they would advertise so, since they advertise for BNG, I would assume a front end change would be a highlight. Also aftermarket companies sell arms for 99+ 400ex's, not for 99-04 and 05+. I still cant say for sure, but just some food for thought

I have a 2000 400ex with a 2006 front end on it. shocks a-arms and tires and wheels. I cant see a difference.
