I spoke with Councilman Shrodes this afternoon. HE IS ON OUR SIDE!!! But he said to keep it up. We need to call, email, etc... as much as possible to make sure we kill this Bill. He said that today around noon he was getting 1-2 emails a minute opposing this bill. That is awesome!!! I have also spoken to Councilman Boniface and got an email from Councilman Guthrie who are against the bill as well. WE ONLY NEED ONE MORE COUNCIL MEMBER TO KILL THIS BILL!!!

One of the guys emailed me back!....

I wrote a nice decent sized letter, explaining how we are just regular workign class citizens out to have a good time, i was decently detailed about the group I ride with, and how it will impact us. Mr. Mcmahan responded tellign me he appreciated the personal input rather than a form letter.

Still working on it but still need to keep up the pressure. I received the same type of email from McMahan but he will not commit to which side of the issue he is on.

I got that same letter from McMahon too lol. Great news more people signing!! My girl works at a leasing office in Abingdon and a bunch of them signed it there plus a bunch of residence.

I got an email from Dion Guthrie today. It read "I am opposed to this bill and will vote against it and I think there are enough votes to kill it."

Response has been great!!! There were over 13,600 signatures in the 1st week alone. The County Council is getting bombarded with emails, calls, etc... against this bill but we need to keep it up!!! Dear Concerned Citizens:

In regards to Bill 07-44 I do not support the Bill and if it gets to October 9th, I will vote against it. It is my hope that the Bill will be withdrawn at the Council meeting on October 2nd which is a possibility. If not, the votes are there to kill the Bill.
