im looking into getting a burgard +1 stem. i have a fat bar clamp for my bars on my stock stem. will i have to buy the burgard fat bar clamp or will my clamp that i have now work?

You need to buy the fat bar clamps designed for an anti-vibe stem, they dont necessarily have to be from burgard, but you will need to buy some, your stock ones wont work.

well there not stock. i bought a set for my fat bars. i was just wondering if any aftermarket clamp would work?

sorry I mis-spoke, a regular fat bar clamp will NOT work, you need a fat bar clamp designed for anti-vibe stems.

its a great stem. I just got one. I really wanted a houser, but couldnt justifiying dishing out almost $100 more. Only thing is, you need a 300ex size clamp for the stem if you have a stabilizer.

Def get a burgard but get a +2. his +2 is like a +1.

Also if you have long arms. Get the +1 forward. Makes a huge difference.
