Oil filter change frequency?

Well my original question disappeared so I will re-post as a reply.

Hey guys I was just curious how often you change your oil filters? I have been changing the oil and filter every 5-10 hours. I am just a recreational dune rider. I really only get to ride a couple times a month if im lucky so its not like my bike gets beat on hard.

Anyways I was just curious if it is necessary to change the filter every oil change or if I could do it every other time?

Also how often does the tranny side fluid need changed?

I change mine about every 5 to 10 hours, but the filter I change every other time I change the oil. And I change both sides at the same time. Hope this helps. :D

I change my motor oil after every race, tranny oil and oil filter every other race. so every 4-5 hours:blah:

I change the filter every time I change the oil and I change the tranny oil every other time I change the motor oil and filter.

I change my oil every 2 to 3 hours, and the filter i use is one of those stainless reusable one's.

I change my oil every time I ride. I change the filter every 2nd or 3rd oil change. Depending on the length of the rides. Some rides are a 1 day deal and some are a 4 day weekend.

Also a clean air filter every time I ride.

if honda says to change the piston every 10 hrs (overkill i think) then i can change the oils and filter every 3 (also overkill)
