Stock is 13/39 ilooking for more grunt, I was going with 41 toothe rear or evena 42 tooth rear, ATC gasket Stk Cylinder FMF pipe Stk Carb, he like to ride in 3rd says he is stuck in second everywhere, running ITP Sand Stars soon to be sand skates 2 comp cut

I think i have a 41 or a 42 sprocket if you want to give it a try. I also have a 12 front. That will give it quite a but of low end grunt. I can meet you somewhere, and you can give it a go.

I think I'd go up on the rear sprocket before I went down to a 12 tooth front. I don't think front sprockets last near as long when they're that small plus it'll give the chain extra room to jump off and jam up between the case saver if it decides too.

haha, i'm always around your neck of the woods. What time do you get off of work? I could meet you at the Albertos right there one night. But i'm leaving this wed to go to pismo and i'll be back on monday night, maybe tuesday.

that is odd, as when my bike had the stock original cylinder with a paul turner pipe and K&N, sand stars with stock gearing, i was always in 3rd and 4th while duning, and sometimes in 2nd and 5th...

i could even pull china wall in 4th... sounds like the bike could use a fresh top end or some better tuning

I think the FMF doesnt have that much low end compared to Duncan, LRD, Sparks, etc. pipes? aside from a pipe your other mods should give a little boost in power to stay in 3rd.

Or is your DS650 too slow; and keeping your son from getting into 3rd on the 250R?
