400ex setup

I have a 99 400ex with a cobra pipe and a uni filter, other than that it's bone stock. I do mostly fast trail riding (gncc kinda stuff) and hill climbs. I was thinking about going to a 416 with a stage 2 hotcams cam. Is this a good setup, what do you guys recommend.

i went with an 11-1 406, with a stage 2 hot cam, port and polish, cdi box, and im about to put on my 450 carb and i love it. runs with 450s

its all in the way you build it. i have a 400 with stock bore that will keep up with modded 450's. its really in the way you ride. read my sig.. plus having a mechanic who raced on team kawi on dirt bikes back in the day and still runs with team Honda on the 450 old mans a class (hes 45) is a bonus =)
