hows them 08 ltr's?

for anybody that has one i was just wondering about a few new features first what is that traction control suppose to be? and does it really work? next how about them rubber mounted bars, do they reduce vibratioon enough to really notice? im askin about this cause my brother may get some for his R and before we drive far away to a dealer to eyeball an 08 out to see if the parts would fit on another model i was wondering how they are in general? thanks

From what I hear it's nothing like a true traction control feature like you'll find in cars.....So the engine doesn't actually cut-out or anything like that. Suzuki some how has the ECU computing different things other than the normal stuff. I don't know everything about it but I'm positive it's nothing to worry about.

Yeah I'd buy one but the ol' 06 going to get some upgrades this winter. Maybe I'll find a cheap low hr. 08 next summer.

yeah, at tech school a new jeep had them and it you easily bump them( on the inside of the rim) they snap off and its 100 bucks for one.

aftermarket tires and suspention are gonna mess that stuff up id think, altho it says it won't , its gonna be like a speedo on a truck when u get big tires.

I thought I saw someone on this forum say they have an '08 and the traction control sucks. They're still trying to find a way to disable it as it hinders performance on the track.

This kid had one this weekend at redbud and him, and his dad, both said it didnt really affect its performace...although neither was much of a rider, so maybe they just dont know what to look for.

My only concern would be in the air...if you need to panic rev, and it thinks its just spinning...

I think I'll be riding one before I get it, and will still probably end up getting an 07 just to save some cash as TCS is just one more electrical thing to malfunction on it...and theres already enough.

yeah bmw has self supporting tires that tell u there low and can be droven on for 150 miles lol with no air pressure
