An Ohio man died as the result of a Saturday accident at Silver Lake State Park.
Edward Meadows, 33, of Ravenna, Ohio and Robert Johnson, 33, of Peotone, Ill. were seriously injured. Both parties were airlifted to Spectrum Hospital in Grand Rapids.
Meadows later died Monday from the injuries sustained in the accident. As of Tuesday morning, Johnson was listed in serious condition.
It appears to investigators and witnesses at the scene that the ATV driven by Meadows turned left into the path of the dirt bike driven by Johnson.
Both parties involved were wearing helmets and it is not believed that alcohol was a factor. The crash remains under investigation.

That was just a write up i found on it.

He is survived by his wife Darcy and their 3 year old daughter Loran. Darcy is expecting their 2nd child.

PLZ send out all your thoughts and prayers to the family! I hate reading about this kinda stuff.

I saw this a lil over a week ago at a sight for LT250/500R QuadRacers. He was a member on there. Very sad news... :( Silver Lake is a fun place to ride, but does get a lil crazy on busy weekends. Here's a link to the forum post on the site I referred to, if I can post it here...

A group of about 15 of my friends went out there last summer. Bikes and quads mixed. Four of them ended up in the hospital. Two with severe injuries, enough for one of them to miss 7 months of work. Experienced riders with 15+yrs of riding experience.

This is the first I've heard of this accident. Silver Lake is such a fun place but it can be dangerous with the speeds you can achieve out there. My thoughts and prayers are with the two riders and their families. RIP
