random dieing out

hey guys.. any idea what this might be.. last week i was riding down a dirt road in 5th gear half throttle, went to slow down and downshift, and it started dieing, so i pulled the clutch in and gave it a shot, it killed the motor out and quit. started it back up worked great.


now today i was in a competition, almost done, it was like 2nd gear, and it did the same thing, i started it again and it ran for a second and died, like when i pushed the throttle it wouldnt take its fuel. started again same thing... next time i started it worked fine. so i race again, then all of a sudden i feel it dieing like before, but then it stops and works good for the rest of the lap.


wtf is goin on here? need to figure it out it made me lose valuable time today.

Sounds like dirty carb possibly fuel Id clean both.

yea... sounds like something could be floating around the bottom of the bowl. if its big enough and gets bumped into one of the jets it would cause it to starve for fuel and cause the random symptoms you described.

if it all checks out then my next guess would be a wire shorting or grounding somewhere..... just my 0.02c
