that's fair for a 87-92... if u got some pics it would help. ask for reciepts for the rebuilt engine. the better shape that it is in, the more reliable it will be. if it's a basket case, then little problems will pop up all over.

hey, i am the friend lol. and i talked to the owner today and took a good look at the bike. my friend and i noticed several things. there were all aftermarket shocks on the bike, ohlins i think?? they had rezzys too. also there was an all aluminum
swing arm, he thought it might be aftermarket. there also was a aftermarket pipe, not sure of brand. i got the owner to lower the price to 1300. do you think this is a good deal? also is the lt250r a good trail bike, and will it do good in the woods.
someone said it would bog down but i wasnt sure of that. thanks for all the help.

yea, i went to look at it with him, it had ohlins all around and an extra set of wheels and tires. also i didnt think the exhaust was aftermarket, i thought it just had a new end cap on it, but could be wrong. it did have holeshots and itp wheels on it and like i said before a new top end. about the swingarm, if anyone has a picture of a stock one i could tell him if it was aftermarket or not.

good suspension for a lt...the end of the swingarm would be a square like the suzuki lt400's. an aftermarket one would look like a trx250r.

it was stock then because it was squared.but how well do they do in trails?

pretty good, they are narrow, but like to steer with the power on.

yea i had an 85' I would say it is a good trail quad. Remember its a two stroke, and it likes to be in the powerband. Not bad in the sand. I would compare it to a 400ex power wise, although the delvery is different since its a two stroke. I got my 85' on ebay right now for 1500, it is super clean though.
