i have a friend thats lookin into buying a atv. he checked out a 1992 suzuki quadracer 250 that was for sale near where he lives. he told me that it has a new top end, wheels and tires and the owner wants 1500 for it. i dont know much about suzuki quadracers so i didnt know if thats a good price or a good reliable bike for a beginer. any info on this bike and price would be great. thanks.

if its in good condition thats a great price. 1992 quadracer will make a 450 look slow.

personally i wouldnt want to buy a bike that old. but if hes just starting out, and not looking into racing, a 300ex or 400ex would probally be perfect for him. A nice 4 stroke less maintenece than the 2 strokes. And the honda 300 and 400s are great reliable bikes

not looking to start an argument, but a piped 250 quad racer is MUCH faster than most people realize. it was definitely faster than the honda 250, it just couldn't out-handle it which is why it always pulled ahead of the suzuki. they actually used to sell aftermarket frames that used the honda front end for the suzuki.

IMO dont get it, too much maint. I've owned a 90 250 quadracer and I couldnt keep the front end together on it. After replacing everthing 3 times I finally sold it. The motor is too much for the frame. I wish I had known about the aftermarket frames back then.
