i need to know if it is worth the money to switch to long travel. i understand that it will make my atv land smoother on jumps but is it that big of an increase for the money. if i were to go with +2's it would cost me about 650 with shock revalving (if needed) but if i make the switch now to long travel it would cost me around 1200. also whats a good asking price for my 2 front elka's

description: elka triple rate fronts with elka covers. they are triple rates with ssd and are compression adjustable. they are valved for a 160-180 pound rider and i have an extra set of stiffer for springs (for +2 a arms) that will come with the shocks.

i believe you would need long travel a arms to get the full potential of your long travel suspension

Yea its deff worth the change, and expect to need about 1500.00 to 2600.00 in change depending what set up you go with.

well look at it this way. Atleast u will be getting brand new shocks, lol Sell your old ones and u really should only have to put out the cost of the a-arms, and maybe 1-200 bucks for new shocks! I just sold my Axis front shocks for 900. They were a year old, but just rebuilt and all the bushings were replaced, so the kid DEFINATELY didnt get ripped off. ANd i only had to pay about 250 for BRAND NEW shocks! cant beat that!

I am in having the same questions running through my head now....19" or 16" 19" or 16". If I go with 16" and +2 a-arms, how wide will I be? Close to 50" right??? If I go with +3 and 19" I will be over that....which means I will need ofset wheels....= more money!! Decision,Decisions!!!

why not spend the extra money and get the 19" long travels. There really isnt a differane if u get 16" long travels. the 19" is that makes the biggest differance

Mark my words "ONCE YOU GO LONG TRAVEL, YOU WILL NEVER GO BACK". The difference is like a 300ex to a 400ex.

I hear you can get a set of 'MONROE SENSITRACS' at autozone that are 19" long if you are on a tight budget. Let us know how they ride.:D

Jk.

so.....440exme, you have the 19" shocks with +1 a-arms....how wide are you...from outside to outside?? And are you running stock front wheels??? Help me out.

if u go +1s with 4-5 offset wheels u will still be 1 inch wider then stock. Which will put u almot dead equal with the back i think

Thats not very wide then. If I go with +2 and 16" with stock offset wheels. I will be near 50".....correct? I ride mainly MX....so, wouldnt this setup be more beneficial?

if u want to go maximum 50" i think u have to go +3 on each side but then have 4-5 offsets. Im not sure htoughl......eeehhh screw that this whole front end calculations thing is confusing as H*LL!! haha

Would a Long-Travel frnt end on a Blaze be worth it? Like maybe a Elka Herrman or Herrman TCS set-up??( i wanna set my Dale apart if I get one)

Also ESR,you could prolly get $700 for your frnt shocks.....

You are going to get a Blaze? Man that would be awesome. I would love to have one. I`m sure you would beneift from Houser LT Arms and Axis or Elka Shocks. Plus a Rear Shock too.
