I need a new shift lever on my 250R because it's stripped. Kind of like the shifter on the 450R, will it work on the 250R?

The spline Is the same, but I'm thinkin the 450r Is longer by quite a bit. I know the 04-05 shifter Is longer, not sure about the 06-08.

Yes, the 450r shifter will fit. I just went out in my garage and tried it. The 450R shifter is slightly shorter then the 250R, but not much, less then a quarter inch difference between the two.

i have a 250r prodesighn shifter on my 450r so it must work other way around,if running a/c propeg nerfs may be 1 inch longer than needed though

I don't know how my shifter got stripped, I found it in a big box of 250r parts that some dude gave me.
I just put a new engine in and I was scrounging for parts to get it running real quick so I can rip it through the woods this fall. It was the only shifter I cound find, probably anit even a 250r shifter idk.:p

10 years of MX use will wipe one out :D

actually I think I have worn out the shift shaft itself. IDK tightened the heck out of the bolt and it still has some slop.... just remembered I have MacDizzy's old shifter sitting around some where. might see if that one fits any better.
