Raptor700 vs. Yfz 450

What is the deal with a Yfz being able to smoke a raptor, thats not right at all, what would a person have to do to smoke a yfz 450 on the 700 raptor???????

assuming equal riders and set ups, a yfz with a full pipe, filter, lid removed and corrrectly jetted will out accelerate a 700 with the same mods and fuel controller dialed in correctly...

do the cam mod and the 700 is left even further behind... as far as what would need to be done, well, there are several things that can be done, but you would have to get into the engine...

however, my advice would be get better at riding, as a lot of riders think they need to make their bike faster, when they cant ride it to its full potential as it is...

i couldnt count all the bikes that had a lot of money into them, that i beat with the baffle out, a filter, and rejetted...

I have both and in the dunes, it comes down to who is a better rider.. The 700 has Barkers, PCIII with custom map, open trinity filter and the 450 has full HFM exhaust, Ron Woods open K&N, Cam mod, NCVQ needle and both are running 9 paddle extremes.. The winner is know within the first 20 foot....

stock vs stock the raptor will blow the yfz away in a drag. At least my buddies both which have 06 blue models. The raptor is a lot faster.

it all depends on the rider my stock yfz with just the SA removed came pretty close to a raptor with haulers hmf pipe and im guessing it had a programmer and some other stuff. It had a gytr bumper which doesnt mean anything but to me that he might have other stuff on his bike.

Most drags he would be 1 to 2 bike lengths ahead of me. my bike doesn't even have paddles but on a really good start i was right next to him and one time on a rolling start i beat him by like a quarter of a quad length but all in all i think that in a drag it all comes down to the rider.

the raptor isnt meant to be all that fast because it was intended to be a trail quad, and of course you dont need to go all that fast on trails, the yfz has a very powerful engine intended for speed, the yfz has 11.5:1 compression and the raptor has 9.2:1 how are you goin to beat the yfz with that racing performance.

Yfz 450s are garbage, they are nothing compared to raptors, all the 450s of all brands are hyped up to be so "awesome" and all i've seen is over priced garbage. my stock 660 keeps up with my friends yfz an 450r.

Yeah,..right. maybe your 450 is fast with all the mods you put on it, it may have come down to riding expirience. you can have the fastest quad on earth, if you don't know how to ride it then it means nothing. maybe my friends don't know how to ride there 450s, but everytime we raced they never beat me by much. wait untill i mod my raptor out, check this out 250r4life, ever hear of the duncan racing kit? in case you didnt notice- i own not only one, but two raptor 660s... in addition to a 250r and YFZ...

and the raptors are the slowest out of them...

all the mods that i have done to my YFZ? i put on a pipe and a filter... and it would take over a grand just into the motor of a 660 to make it run with my bike...

the whole frame is made out of aluminum which makes it's overall weight 345 pounds. the rear axle is a hollow, and is made out of aluminum. on top of that is has specially made engine 449cc, single cylinder, DOHC, 4-valve, liquid cooled

the swingarm is constructed from The cast aluminum swingarm utilizes a rising rate linkage to connect to the rear shock

o really, 1. if you didn't notice all that kit is the motor, 2nd that kit cost 3,500, and 3rd if i did get that kit it would blow anything you own away. and if you read your own descriptions of the supposed atvs you own, it says your 450 quad has more than just a pipe and air filter, mod. cam and tires and some other sh** come to mind. I've never ridden a 450 and when i admitted it could have come down to rider error is when you should've stopped being a deuche-bag about everything. tweedle-dum, fu*k you!! sorry we all can't be as smart as you.:grr:

What kind of "work" are you talking about?? Mod for Mod the 450 will beat the Raptor (I should know, I have had a 660 and a 700, along with a YFZ450 and have compaired each after mods.) And since when has a Polaris 450 been the fastest stock quad to date?? Maybe if it was thown off of a cliff... Also what makes you think that there are more Raptors sold then YFZ450s? Maybe for the trails but for MX and dunes in the recent past the 450s have outnumbered the Raptors, hands down.

It is not quite stock . Clutches have been reworked , exhaust and intake is not stock and a lot of tuning . The kfx-700 has a lot of power hidden in it if you know how to get to it you can make it a lot faster . Stock form I would not have beat the raptor but I bet it just with exhaust and a rejet .

I have been beaten by most banshees I have raced and a lot of 450's that are modified but the 450's that are stock can't touch me in a straight line . Raptors are not the hottest thing out there .

youre right i have never ridden one... but i did race one last year at buttercup that i was quite impressed with... he had a lot done to it though...

you say that your bike just has a few add ons and a lot of tuning... by the same token, you would be amazed at how well a "stock" yfz performs with just the baffle out, and lid removed... properly tuned, it will rip and if the rider knows how to ride, it should walk away from most KFX's...

and im not overly concerned with top speed... im more concerned with how fast you can pull olds...

and how fast you can launch and get that big heavy bike through the whoops...

like i said though- last year at buttercup i raced one a handfull of times that did a lot better against me than i would have ever imagined... i would have laughed if someone told me he was gunna be as fast as he was...

I have started racing January this year , and 7 out of 8 times i've got the wholeshot with my 700R , only time I didn't get it (Was 2nd) was when my tyers had no grip left ..... NO 450 , 500 , 650, 660 , 700 , 800 could catch me , accept the one time the YFZ450 pulled me.... Thats all , and if I can choose any stock quad , it'll be the Raptor 700R ......

in your case we have a 300lb man on a kfx 700- claiming to be fast and beat raptor 700s and some 450s... not only are you on a bike not knows for its speed, even if you were, the fact that you weigh 300lbs gives most opponents the upper hand in racing you...
