I recieved my hmf sport slip on today and i was wondering if i'm doing something wrong or if they just sent me the wrong exhaust. The stock head pipe at the end is skinny and the part on the hmf slip on that is suppose to go on is skinny as well.

also, how do i post a picture so you can see what i'm looking at?
i think i know what you are trying to say. they pipe is decreased at the end to fit on the stock header.

Or drop by the local exhaust shop. Should be free or damn close.

Typical for the HMF's to be hard to get onto the header. I filed each down a bit and its still a pain to get on and off. Even if you do get it on all the way it is doubtful the holes would be lined up at that point. Just file it, and wiggle it on their to where at least the back mount will mount up.

mine was the same way you are saying. the pipe is smaller at the end of the can but it should have two slits in it so that it can spread apart a little bit to slide on. I just kept wiggling it and it went on. takes a little bit of force and moving it but it'll go on and be pretty snug for a good tight fit. you could put one edge on the headpipe and just kinda work the other edge up and over to get it on. that might help make it go on a little easier

Thanks for all your help everyone, especially honda400exr. I just wrenched it out a little bit and then played with it for a while untill it slid forward. Thanks again
