View Full Version : ok......simple Q so please respond
i want to know were you can order a new piston and rings for like cheap, it goes on a 1991 250x and i just want something that is like $80 or less, i think my shop charges like $90 for a wiseco piston and rings, i just want something to replace the top end on my bike cuz the rings are warn out now, not sure about piston but i'm getting one anyway, i am not opposed to aftermarket pistons and rings, neither am i opposed to high compression, nothing over a 12 to 1 tho, all i want to know is were to get something to go in it that will work great and fit fine, and i want to keep the stock bore, so all you guys have to do is answer one simple question, were can i get a piston and rings and top end gasket set for cheap that fits a 1991 trx250x
thanks

i dunno about prices. but i would try service honda. i have gotten good deals on stuff from there. or check out some of the websites and see if they have any specials.
could you refer any good trustable websites??? just anywere i can get it
checked service honda's website, they don't even list my quad for parts to look up, they have the brand new 2001-2002 250ex for parts, but no 1991

The Quadshop or C&D racing both are great and have good prices.

Ther are several in dirt wheels for Under $100 that include the gaskets, piston, rings and wrist pin. But if you don't need gaskets than Midwest Auction Cycle has a piston kit without gaskets for $70
na, i should prob put new gaskets in, remember, it's a 1991 trx250x so i'm sure all the top end gaskets and cylicone needs to be replaced, keep em commin guys, o, and i couldn't find a web site for c&d racing
hm.....i guess i'll go to the store and look for a few mags to check out

Do a search on this forum for CDracing and e-mail them
never mind guys, i tore the motor down and cleaned up my piston and it is fine so i just ordered rings to save money cuz i am selling the bike, but thanks for the info, i will look into that stuff next time i want to put mods on my next quad or rebuild it, mucho apreciato
