WHAT KIND DO YOU RECOMMEND? I WAS LOOKING AT A DG OR A PINGRY. HERE IS A PINGRY.

Well DG doesn't make them anymore,,,actually haven't for over a year,,,but the pingry I would own,,,but the price is crazy..if ya got the money and want one I'd recommend getting it...:D

Oh and from what I know,,,which isn't much,:D , pingry is the only place that makes these airboxes for the 400ex..

Thats a lot of money for such a small power increase that you may not even notice. Most racing teams such as Duncan Racing just modify the stock air box. They don't just take off the lid and snorkel. There are a few more ways to modify the air box. But if your really set on getting on then go for it but I've seen it cheaper then 199.00.

Magic Racing sells them for $190. I think CT makes an airbox too. The only reason I would get one is to get the battery and all the other stuff inside.

this is a ct racing air box looks nice but the price is $229.
which one does magic racing have for $190?

me and a friend are making me an air box- but our heads got in the way first- will there be problem with building one to big
other than it hitting the shock / brake rotar / chain ect.. will there be problems with intake and such if it's too big or too small
- tryin' to get all this figured out before we start cuttin' metal
my bike and my stock box will be right there- to do mesurments from and such- just wanted some input before we start-
any suggestions- about the battery part of it..what should i make room for and such..??

what does everybody think about not having a snorkel on the pingry because on the ct air box ther is one?

I HAVE THE PINGRY, THE COOL THING IS YOU CAN THROW THE BATTERY INSIDE, WHICH IS COOL. ALSO THE SNORKEL IS USELESS. I FEEL(MY OPINION) THAT SINCE I TOOK THE SNORKEL OFF I GET MY FILTER LESS DIRTY AND MORE POWER.I HAVE AN EXTRA FILTE TO CHANGE OUT. THE SNORKEL SUCKS AIR FROM THE FRONT SO IF YOU GO THROUGH A CLOUD OF DIRT IT SUCKS IT IN THERE. IT WAS EASY TO INSTALL, EVEN THOUGH IT LOOK WEIRD.I PAID 215 WITH SHIPPING TO CALIFORNIA I BOUGHT IT FROM MAGIC RACING.IF YOU WANT TO CLEAN UP THE BIKE AND HAVE THE MONEY ITS WORTH IT.

no it comes with no lid, also the wiring goes through a whole on the side with a rubber ring, they also send something to hold the coil and fuse holder, you'll get it fast.i like it , i run no lid, but than adain i live in souther cal, so there is hardly no rain or muddy condition, when it rains it just keeps down the dust, its a trick box, if you get the ac subframe made out of aluminum, your bike will look nice, as a matter of fact ct sells a subframe with the airbox already incorporated, its nice

do you think you could attach a outerwares on it? also do you know were i could see some pics of the ac sub frame and the ct sub frame with the air box incorperated?

GO TO CTRACING.COM , THEN CLICK ON PRODUCTS, THEN CLICK ON CHASSIS PRODUCTS, YOU POP UP YOU CANT MISS IT, THE OUTERWEARS COMES WITH VELCRO BUT IT SUCKS BIG TIME IT STARTS PEELING OFF, MAYBE WITH SUPERGLUE OR SOMETHING IT WOULD WORK
