Round 8 of the WORCS series was held in Monticello, Utah . Monticello, is neighbor to the ever so popular Moab, Utah which is know for its scenic Byways, including Off-Road riding,rock climbing,river rafting ,hiking, and bike riding.
The senery is breath taking and quite amazing to see,especially at sunset.

Bull Hollow Raceway has a reputation in the WORCS series for being a mudfest, but this year would prove to be quite the opposite with nothing but sunny skies,beeezy conditons and temps in the low 80's .
In spite of the weather, rider numbers were down significantly ,with numbers at approx. 350 entries.

The track consisted of Clay that blue grooved up nicely threwout the week ends racing.
This was a longer course at approx. 7.5 miles as well as a higher altitude at 7000 ft. As a result,would prove to effect many riders endurance and riders felt they tired more quickly.

The course consisited of varyng changes from tunnel jumps,to fast MX sections as well as fast open trail sections,Tabletops,elevation changes,rock,whoops and doubles.

Friday practice was cut short as my camera has some malfuntions, but I managed to get a few shots in .
Practice consists of only the MX on Friday practice days.

First race of the Amatuer race coverage kicks off with the Production classes in race 3.
16 riders were on the line.
#1a Justin Waters gets out front in lap one with a 10 second lead followed by Dillon Zimmerman in 2nd.

# 49 Dillon Zimmerman would cling to the 2nd postion the enitre race ,but in the final lap it would be Waters who would hold the #1 in Production A,Zimmerman in the #2 slot.

Stock A rider,#99 Cameron Beck held 1st place until mid race, fell back one position ,but quickly regained it in the final lap for the #1 in stock A.

Race 5 kicks off the Womens A class.
#130 Julie Russell is on fire this year and seems to have recovered nicely from last years injuries!! Temmecula Motorsports riders had quite a awesome wk. end!
Russell gets out front in lap 1 and holds it to the checker for the #1 on the podium.
Russell also held the fastest lap time in lap 2.

#902 Christy McGuffin also proves to be on fire this year .These girls get faster each round I see them.
Mcguffin would hold a solid 2nd place for the entire race .

The final Amatuer races on Sat. in race 7 was Womens C class.
C class rider,#227 Rebecca Hosking.Hosking also held the fastest lap time in lap 3.
Im sorry I did not get alot of photos of race 7 as the girls share the same gate as the youth sport classes ,my son was in a wreck ,so I was a little pre-occupied.:ermm: lol

Stambaugh has his share of ups and down this season, but ot this round!
Stambaugh leads the entire race to the #1 in the Rhino class.

Mitchell would also hold the fastest lap time in lap 2.

There was abit of tension in the pits after this race .Apparently this race there was a time mix up and was lessened by approx. 15 minutes,so about 1 lap shorter for the 30+B class.

So there you have it ... All the Wk. ends hightlights of the Amatuer racing in Monticello, Utah! I wish I could have brought you better photos this round, :( Ill remain hopeful for the next round as there shoud be alot less dust and hoping my camera works better by then.

Youth Coverage is up next ,along with all the wk. ends holeshot videos and Pro Main Coverage.

Next stop will be an exhausting one for the riders, but a very anticipated race as well...
