Oh snap! If you are really wanting ot do this hoosiers may hold but I would look for some small car tires, or go kart type racing tires.

I belive they make drag slicks that fit our quads made for 100+ speeds.

wont be happy 100 mph more like 145-150 is what I'm looking for i work at a custom frame shop and changing a few thing to handle good at that speed just need speed rated tires.

have you looked into the drag slicks the youth group uses in the top fuel looking cars in the nhra? those tires seem close enough size to the quad tires...

good luck in your chase for the record!!

My Friend I race with has hit 144 in 1/4 mile on his drag atv. It will do much faster than that, what is the world record. It is a quadzilla frame with a lengthened chassis and a arctic cat triple in it. For those of you who don't know it is a snowmobile 3 cylinder 2 stroke engine. A little over 1000cc's of 2 stroke. We run hoosiers on that beast.

Here are some pics for anyone who thinks this is bs!

heres a first record attempt, http://www.albaaction.com/video/rocket3-record.htm but that record has been broken since. in the 08 book of world records i believe a turbo powered 700 raptor got in the 150's.

The tires on the picture are carlise turf tamers. We run those tires at the dirt drag track. We have hoosiers when we go to ashpalt. It could definately go 170 but it is geared where it is because just about all of our races are 500 ft. so we really don't set gearing for anything more. But yeah, it is a little hairy those carilse turf tamers are rated for 55mph and the 500ft dirt drags we run anywhere between 113 and 117mph. So they hold up but I don't like the situation.
