engine sputtering problems?

my 400 is pretty tight but sometimes when i do a wheelie in 2nd or 3rd gear, once it gets up, it sputters a little but will kick into power again in like2-3 seconds. could my carb be getting flooded or something? im probably gonna tear it apart and check it out but i want to know what to look for. its not like the engine dies but u can feel and kinda hear the sputtering. im pretty sure that the problems in the carb but i just want some of your guys input.

buy one of those carb vent systems and it will take teh sputter out..

where can i get one and how much does it cost? what does it do?

It provides better air flow to the carb taking the sputter out. They are around $20 and take about 5 minutes to put on. Any dealer should be able to get one. I haven't dealt with Marcum's but everyone on this post says he is great. I'm sure he can get you one.
